marinades-270x270-96dpiAsian Marinade

Another “fortunate accident” of our chef’s culinary creativity, Nat was throwing together a marinade for some beautiful free range chicken thigh we were BBQing at home one night, and Simply Original Asian Marinade was born.  A little sweet, a little chilli, a little soy and distinctly, simply, original!

It’s wonderful on chicken, but also works well on pork, beef and duck.

Don’t only use it to marinade meats though, you can dress crunchy noodle salads with this marinade used as a dressing as well.

Arrabiata Marinade

Spicy Italian style marinade with black olives, basil, oregano and tomato.  Best used on chicken and beef however you can also use on pork, prawns and lamb.

Serving suggestion: Place 2 whole chicken breasts in glass bowl and coat with 100ml Arrabiata Marinade.  Leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes before grilling, baking or BBQing.  Serve with baked jacket potato and salad.

Honey Mustard Marinade

Sweet from the honey and tangy from the mustard, this is just made for chicken, lamb, duck and beef, but can also work well with pork and seafood.

marinatedchicken-270x270-96dpiServing suggestion: Marinate 4 x continental pork chops in 100ml Honey Mustard Marinade for at least 30 minutes before grilling or BBQing.  Serve with corn on the cob and steamed green vegetables.

Thai Marinade

Our tangy Thai Marinade is a little spicy from the sweet chilli we use, soy and coriander give it a bit of a kick and the overall result works fantastically well with chicken, duck and beef.  Also complements pork and seafood - especially on the BBQ!

Serving suggestion: Place 12 - 18 peeled green prawns in glass bowl and pour over 100ml Thai Marinade.  Leave to marinate for at least 15 minutes.  Cook in griddle pan or on BBQ grill plate and serve with steamed Asian greens and jsmine rice.

Sicilian Oregano, Pink Salt and Lemon Marinade

This is a delicate yet flavoursome marinade or rub for larger cuts of meat, made with dried Sicilian Oregano which has a distinctive flabour - best used with lamb and beef.  It also works well with chicken, pork and seafood.

Serving suggestion: Rub 100ml Oregano, Pink Salt and Lemon Marinade all over butterfly leg of lamb and leave to infuse for at least 30 minutes (longer if you have the time).  Bake or roast for approx. 1.5 hours at 180c and serve with roast and steamed vegies or potato and green salad if BBQing.

Lemon, Sicilian Oregano and Garlic Marinade

Tangy and garlicky and just delicious!  Ideal on lamb, beef and chicken but can also be used on seafood for a Mediterranean flavour.  Yum!

Serving suggestion: Preheat oven to 180c.  Pour 100ml Lemon, Oregano and Garlic Marinade over rack of lamb (cap off) and rub into meat.  Leave to infuse for approx 30 minutes (longer if you have the time).  Bake for 20 mins and slice into cutlets when cooked.  Serve with baked vegies and steamed broccoli.

Rosemary, Garlic and Lemon Marinade

Handmade with love and our secret to the great flavour of this marinade - homegrown rosemary picked immediately before bottling.  Best used on lamb or beef.

Serving suggestion: Marinate 4 x thick sirloin steaks (or other cut of your choice) in 100ml Rosemary, Garlic and Lemon Marinade for at least 30 mins before grilling on griddle pan or BBQ.  Serve with smashed Simply Original Marinated Fetta and green salad or steamed vegies and mash.
