Marinated Cheeses

Print

lambplate2-270x270-96dpiWe have carefully selected our fetta from an array of Australian variants available and have created a marinade that will become a little sharper with age.  The fetta is not too salty or crumbly and has just the right amount of creaminess to meld well with the garlic and herbs used.

We use only the best Australian garlic we can find, never imported as the flavour is not right, and all our herbs are grown in our own vegetable patch.

Remember, don’t throw out the dressing once the product is finished – add to other dishes as a sauce or marinade base or stir through mashed potato.

Pungent yet fragrant Australian garlic and the delicate flavour of dill complement each other in this simple yet flavourful product.. Smash some up with the back of a fork and serve a spoonful with your favourite cut of Saltbush Lamb.  Alternately serve as part of an antipasto platter to share with friends.

Our cheese with oregano has fresh herbs which are home grown.  The robust flavour of the oregano replaces the dill for a slightly stronger marinade.  Remember to reserve all your dressings for use in another dish.  The dressing from the marinated cheeses is delicious stirred through mash potato, used in a salad dressing or used to baste meats on the bbq or when roasting.
